That's right. It's starting to look a little like summer here in the Chicago 'burbs, so I've been out soaking up the sun with the toddler and showing off my newly freed teeth. And my new haircut. And I've basically been reveling in the fact that I no longer look like a pregnant teenager. Yeah, that feels nice. Needless to write, blogging has been on the back burner here during days when the sun is shining and the mercury in the thermometer surpasses 60 degrees. So you can imagine how grateful I was after I saw a brilliant post about lack of blogging during the warm months we call summer at Sassy B.'s place. She pointed me over to Em at Life, Liberty and the Pursuit to get my very own summer bloggy excuse button. And here's what Em had to say about accepting the bloggy summer excuse button:
Before you grab one of these nifty buttons to proudly display on your sidebar, please repeat after me (right hand up):
"I solemnly promise to cut my bloggy friends some slack when my sitemeter numbers crater and my comment love runs dry. In turn, I hope that my followers/loyal readers will forgive me for putting my life before blogging, if only for the next couple of months. I swear I will be back full time come September, refreshed and rejuvenated, ready to spread bloggy love wherever I go.
So help me blog."
If you need a summer excuse button, go see Em. You will feel much less guilty after a few days or weeks have passed and your blog is still boasting an old post as the newest. I'm already beginning to shed my guilt!
Well, it's not totally gone, so, sigh, I'll give you some actual, you know, content to enjoy, since I'm already here, and I'm already typing ...
Look! No metal in the mouth!
This is the baby bump at 26 weeks.
Oh, and here's a random shot of the toddler I really wanted to post after the Memorial Day parade, but I had forgotten until now.
Now ease thyself, guilty mind, ease ... :)
