The toddler says to me, "Mommy, I play cars with baby brother."
"Oh, honey," I say, " He's still too little to play with cars, but it's nice you want to share."
He gives up on the cars and after leaving them for 20 seconds, I find this:

A few days later, the toddler says, "Mommy, I play with baby brother today?"
"Honey, I think he's still too little."
He looks unconvinced, steps away from us and gathers his toys -- all figures from The Lion King. He brings them over to where baby and I are sitting on the floor.
And he begins to play with baby brother the only way he can ...
... he uses him as Pride Rock.

"He uses him as Pride Rock". Oh how I loved that last line! I love that the oldest can find ways to play with the newest. What a wonderfully inventive and sweet little boy you have there.
What a sweet big brother he is. :) Just wait until E actually starts playing back. It's just about the cutest thing ever!
What wonderful interactions for them both! :) So adorable.
He is such a good big brother!
So cute! I'm remember when my boys would want to play with a little one. They would bring over the HUGEST toys to show the baby :)
Oh what a sweet little guy. I totally get what he's thinking though. With Little Miss I kept waiting for her to DO something. But man do you make cute babies :)
I know I've said this before, but I love that toddler. Such a sweet boy - the ducks on baby had me cackling! Husband is giving me "the look." Pride Rock. Classic.
