Everyday Life: Reflections

Five years ago, this very evening, the story of two strangers floating down a very famous river half way around the world on a cruiseship turned into the story of us.
Before babies.
And dogs.
And houses.
Before car payments.
And businesses.
And work.
Before volunteer groups.
And busy, overcommitted schedules.
And demands of adulthood
there was a spark of love that ignited into a fire in the shadows of pyramids and glow of big-city buildings.

There was just us, two strangers turned acquaintances ... acquaintances turned friends ... friends turned lovers ... lovers turned one. And amid the banks of the Nile River in a land brimming with history we began what we now call our history. Happy New Year, my love.
