Creativity Boot Camp: Ornament {Day eight}

Today marks day eight of Creativity Boot Camp. I'm missing day seven, I know. Day seven ended up being so personal and guttural, that I haven't been able to bring myself to share it.

Ornament {Day Eight }

I've slid needles through my tongue,
ears, lip,
piercing my flesh,
trying to make something
plain
into something
unique.

[An song to mysterious that was always uprooted]

I've slipped slinky clothes over my hips,
breasts, legs,
ornamenting my figure,
trying to morph something
clumsy
into something
sexy

[An ode to alluring that was always undressed]

I've spilled ink over my eyes lids,
waist, finger tips,
painting my skin,
trying to brighten something
simple
into something
extraordinary

[An aria to beauty that was always unmasked]

I spread open love over my bed,
table, couch,
soaking in His Word,
trying to transform something
broken
into something
redressed.

[A psalm of praise that's never been unsung]

There's nothing better than good conversation ... but not while talking to myself. Will you play a part in this discussion?

AND will you pretty please have your email linked to your account or leave it for me so I can respond?

Thanks for taking the time to make these thoughts into conversation.
