365 Photo Project: Week Six

I really, really wanted to skip posting this week's photos for so many reasons.

There's the whole {insert whiny voice}: I was so busy I didn't have time to master the shots I was trying to capture.

Oh, and then there's the whole: but I already posted today.

Ah, and lest I forget, there's the: oh, well, no one's really keeping tabs on me, so if I skip a week it doesn't matter.

And while all of those are true, I committed to doing this project, and whether you {yes, you, over there, reading tonight's non sense!} like it or not, you're holding me accountable {even if, somehow, you don't, umm, care}.

SO.

Here is { a little bit pitiful} week six of Maegan's photo challenge.

Yes, G. is wearing the same exact shirt in days 41 and 42. I'm a tiny bit embarrassed, but mostly I'm just grateful because I got to sleep until 10 a.m. Saturday and his dad dressed him by adding pants and allowing G. to wear the same shirt her wore the day before and to bed. {I knew this 365 project was going to show my true parenting colors -- I let my kids wear the same shirts to bed some days! Oh, my ... I'm sorry, G. and Baby E., I tried to put you in clean clothes every day.}

  1. I'm still trying to get over day 40, is that a doughnut, with sprinkles he is holding? That can't be, I am sure there are trans fat in those :-)
    (teasing of course!) I didn't even notice the shirt!

  2. My kids often wear the same clothes to bed if they're comfy and favorites :)
    Don't sell yourself short!! Those are some fantastic shots!

  3. Love, love, LOVE the last shot! And I'm cracking up at the shirt. That's something that dads just don't pay attention to. :D

  4. One of my sons insists on wearing the same Batman shirt repeatedly. I wash it for him on an almost daily basis and I just pray that his teacher assumes that I'm washing it and not sending him to school day after day with the same dirty shirt on!!! No worries...sometimes we have to choose our battles!

    Found you through Ashley's blog!

  5. Going on the record here to answer Melissa's question since my blog claims that, um, you know, we eat healthfully and stuff.
    {Usually, we do.}
    No, it's definitely not a donut.
    BUT it is a caramel, sprinkle-covered apple.
    And I'm sure there were tiny little trans fats in it.
    Let's just add that to the fact that I let my kid run around in the same shirt two days and one night in a row. lol!

  6. Your kids are so cute. I didn't notice the shirt either.

    I love the last, nighttime shot too.

  7. The fact he was wearing clothes at all is a feat in this house. My kid is usually in her undies unless I wrangle her into clothes, which promptly come back off.

    Love that night-time photo!

  9. You're doing great, Hyacynth! I'm loving to see your weekly pics not only to watch how you grow in photography, but also to have a peek into your day-by-day! But, should you decide that weekly posting is killing your joy...I would understand. Here's where the part about it being "100% about your personal journey"!!! {oh, and as long as the kids are happy, don't you even worry about the clothes!} xoxo

  10. I love seeing each week. I've been struggling about publishing my photos each. and. every. single. day on my blog or even weekly. Maybe I should do bi-weekly now. lol!

    Your last shot is awesome; your growth in photography is apparent!
