Celebrating Christmas: Breaking the silence

A wail pierced the darkness.

And in the thickness of night a few thousand years ago, God's voice resounded in the cries of a newborn.

After He'd been silent for 400 years, God chose the most unlikely of ways to speak again to the world -- through a tiny baby born in Bethlehem.

This past week, I broke from writing and blogging to pause, to ponder the wonder of the gift we celebrate at Christmas -- the day Christ traded His throne for a manger, the day God broke His silence.

And today, Christmas Day, I'm breaking my silence to marvel {for the first time in my life} about how seriously grateful I am to live in the age of Grace, where we're guided by His word, His example and we're redeemed through the birth and death of a Baby who wasn't just a baby, but a King and the Light of the World.

Wishing you the merriest Christmas.
