Everyday Life: Legacy

When my oldest was a toddler I hovered over him with a wet wash cloth ready to mop up every single speck of food mess he crated while he dined on messy dishes like spaghetti or yogurt.

But with the second?

Not so much.

Instead I hover over him with a smile {and with my camera.}

During a play date at my house a couple of weeks ago one of my good friends noted that I'm so much more relaxed now that I've got two boys.

I threw my hands in the air and remarked, half-jokingly, that it's because I just don't care anymore.

We laughed because she knew what I meant.

It's not that I actually don't care anymore.

I so care now.

Just not quite so much about clean and orderly.
