Bigger Picture Moment: What I Never Wanted

I'd never choose this -

the cold.
the wind sweeping across the plains leaving the land swept and weary.
the wet flakes coating all of creation with the heaviness of winter,
the white snow slowly, steadily covering the tree branches until only a slight frame of what was can be seen through the thickness of snow.

But what then would I know of what it looks like

to be blanketed in fresh grace.
to be covered in new.
to be who I was but also who I've become.

And so there is gratitude for what I never wanted.

Simple BPM

Each Thursday, we come together to share the harvest of intentional living by capturing a glimmer of the bigger picture through a simple moment.

Share a picture, words, creation or list; just come to the table with thanksgiving in your heart.

Reflect on the blessings that were apparent to you this week.

Harvest them!
